Red Ember Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading South African logistics organisation, for an experienced and dynamic Corporate Communications Manager to join their team in Kempton Park.
This is a confidential search for a strategic communications professional who can manage the full corporate communications function, strengthen brand reputation, and ensure clear, consistent communication across internal and external audiences.
- Develop and implement an integrated corporate communications strategy.
- Establish clear and consistent corporate messaging across all communication channels.
- Develop compelling corporate narratives aligned with business objectives.
- Translate complex business information into clear, accessible communication.
- Manage external corporate communications across relevant stakeholder groups.
- Develop and distribute press releases and corporate announcements.
- Respond to media enquiries and manage media relationships.
- Maintain an up-to-date media database.
- Coordinate media training for company spokespersons.
- Protect and enhance the organisation's corporate reputation.
- Develop and manage internal communication initiatives.
- Support employee engagement through effective and meaningful communication.
- Communicate organisational priorities, business updates, and key initiatives.
- Ensure that employees across the organisation receive relevant and timely information.
- Manage corporate identity and brand communication.
- Ensure that all communications align with approved brand guidelines.
- Protect the integrity and consistency of the corporate brand across all touch points.
- Support organisational change and transformation initiatives through effective communication.
- Partner with Organisational Effectiveness and Change, IT, Operations, and project teams.
- Develop communication plans that help employees understand and adapt to change.
- Communicate change initiatives in a practical, transparent, and engaging manner.
- Support senior leadership with communication planning and messaging.
- Enable leaders to communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Influence and align stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
- Develop engaging corporate content and storytelling initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to communicate the organisation's achievements, culture, and values.
- Monitor communication effectiveness and gather stakeholder feedback.
- Measure the impact of communication initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
Experience- Proven experience in corporate communications.
- Strong experience in media relations and public relations.
- Experience managing internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in brand management and corporate identity.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and translating business strategy into clear communication.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and communication planning abilities.
- Exceptional storytelling and content development skills.
- Sound judgement and strong attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Creative, energetic, and adaptable approach to communication.
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation
- Exposure to organisational change, transformation, or culture initiatives.
- Experience within logistics, courier services, retail, distribution, or another operational or service-based environment.
- Additional training in organisational communication, change communication, or digital media.
- Experience transitioning from an agency communications environment into an in-house corporate role.
