Senior Operations Executive – Shipping & Logistics

Location:Kochi,Ernakulam

Qualification:Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics,Supply Chain Management,Shipping,Commerce,Business Administration,or a related field

Experience:5–8 Years of  Experience in  operations,shipping or Logistics.

Salary:As per industry standards.

Experience in ship handling or marine logistics will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

•  Manage daily import and export freight forwarding operations, including FCL and LCL shipments.
  
  
• Coordinate bookings, documentation, customs clearance, transportation, and cargo movements with shipping lines, vendors, and overseas agents.
  
  
•  Track shipments from booking to delivery, provide timely customer updates, and resolve operational issues.
  
  
•  Coordinate with Sales on business handovers and quotations while controlling operational costs and avoiding unnecessary charges.
  
  
•  Verify vendor invoices, maintain shipment records, ensure compliance with shipping procedures, and coordinate with Accounts for billing and payments.
  
  
•  Maintain customer and vendor relationships, prepare operational reports, and provide regular updates to management.
  

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or 3PL logistics operations.
  
  
• Good knowledge of import/export procedures, FCL/LCL shipments, and shipping documentation.
  
  
• Experience coordinating with shipping lines, NVOCCs, customs brokers, transporters, and overseas agents.
  
  
• Strong vendor coordination, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics/ERP systems.
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple shipments, meet tight deadlines, and respond to urgent operational requirements outside normal working hours when necessary.
