About the role
Wedded Wonderland has spent 10 years building the largest B2B network in the global wedding industry. 50,000+ venues and vendors listed. 10,000+ businesses through our education programs. 100+ events and expos. Around 20 businesses a day still message us unprompted asking to be part of it.
Most of that network has never been sold to properly.
That is the job. You are not starting from a blank list and a cold market. You are working a base that already knows the name, plus targeted outbound into the accounts that fund the business: hotel groups, resorts, tourism boards, luxury brands, and the planner network that decides where high-net-worth wedding budgets go.
The offers, the pricing, the sequences and the CRM are already built and owned by the commercial lead. Your job is to work the base at volume, qualify hard, and put qualified meetings in the closers' calendars every week. You book, you do not close.
Key responsibilities
**Base activation. Work the dormant B2B base in the CRM against a weekly account list: previously listed venues and vendors, lapsed members, past exhibitors, and event enquiries that were never followed up. 150 to 200 accounts touched per week. Every account leaves the week with a status, never a maybe.
**Cold calling. 40 to 60 dials a day across 2 lanes. The volume lane is venues, vendors and suppliers. The named-account lane is hotel groups, resorts, tourism boards and luxury brands. Target buyers are Directors of Sales and Marketing, Commercial Directors, Revenue Managers, Weddings and Events Managers, Marketing Managers at tourism boards, and Brand or Events leads at luxury houses.
**Named-account research. 25 to 40 live named accounts at any time. Before you dial one, you know their wedding proposition, their weekend occupancy problem, who owns the budget, and which of our products answers it. These accounts get researched, not sprayed.
**Sequence execution. Run the pre-built cadence per segment (day 1 email, day 3 social touch, day 5 proof point, day 8 call and voicemail, day 12 asset, day 18 breakup). Flag which touches are dying and bring the data, not the anecdote.
**Email at volume. Send through a multi-mailbox, multi-domain setup. Verify every address before send, watch bounce rates daily, keep bounce under 2%, and raise deliverability problems the same day you see them.
**Inbound speed. Around 20 business enquiries a day arrive across Instagram DM, WhatsApp, Facebook and email. You triage every one to a category the same day, and anyone asking for pricing, a media kit or an event pack gets a response inside 15 minutes during business hours. Speed is measured and it is not negotiable.
**LinkedIn and Instagram outreach. Comment on target accounts, send connection requests, then a 2 to 3 sentence message about their problem, not our features. Instagram is a real sales channel in this industry, not a nice-to-have, and you will be expected to work it like a professional rather than a fan.
**Personalisation. One real, verifiable detail from the last 90 days on every first touch. A property they just opened, an award they just won, a campaign they just launched, a fam trip they just hosted. Generic first touches do not ship.
**Event pipeline. Wedded World runs to a fixed floor plan and fixed deadlines. You work exhibitor and partner slots against that map, and you report coverage against remaining slots and remaining days every week, without being asked.
**Booking and handoff. Move positive responses into the closers' calendars, tagged by source and segment. Booked means calendar accepted, correct title, target account, and a brief the closer can walk into. A meeting that was never going to happen is worse than no meeting.
**List hygiene. Weekly pass over live members, active pipeline, do-not-contact, unsubscribes and the 90-day recycle rule. This is a relationship-led industry with a small, well-connected buyer pool. Contacting the wrong account twice costs us more than a missed dial does.
**Weekly reporting. Dials, connects, sends, delivered, positive reply rate, meetings booked, meetings held, bounce rate, and pipeline value passed to closers. Results go on a team scoreboard reviewed every Monday.
About you
You have cold called at volume into B2B and can tell us your connect-to-meeting rate without checking.
Spoken English that is clear and easy to follow for Australian, Middle Eastern, European and US buyers on the phone. Pace and clarity matter more than accent.
Strong written English. You will work inside strict tone guidelines and a banned-phrase list, because this is a luxury brand and our buyers can hear a template from the first line.
You have run multi-touch sequences day to day. You do not need to have designed one, but you need to know why each touch exists.
Comfortable inside a CRM and high-volume email tooling, and you know what healthy deliverability looks like on an ordinary Tuesday.
You can sit in front of a senior hotel or tourism-board buyer and hold a commercial conversation about weekend occupancy, source markets and lead quality. If you need a script to survive that call, this is the wrong role.
You are comfortable working inside a scoreboard you cannot hide from.
You work AEST hours and you are reliable about it. Our buyers are in Sydney, Melbourne, Dubai, Bali and Auckland.
Familiarity with GoHighLevel, Zoho or HubSpot. Experience selling sponsorship, exhibition space, memberships or media packages. A second language used commercially.
About the business
Wedded Wonderland is the world's leading platform for luxury, cultural and destination weddings. We reach an audience of over 300 million globally, with 1 million Instagram followers, and an audience where 44% of couples spend $100,000 to $200,000 on their celebration and a further 25% spend above $200,000.
We make our money from businesses, not from couples. Venues and hotels pay to reach that audience and our planner network. Tourism boards run destination campaigns with us to win weddings for their country. Luxury brands buy activations to get in front of the planners who control 6-figure and 7-figure budgets. Our events, magazines and marketplace all sit on one asset: the couples and the professionals nobody else in this industry has assembled in a single place.
The gap is simple. The demand side is built. The outbound engine that turns 50,000 businesses who already know us into booked revenue is not. That is what you are here to run, every day, and it is why this role reports into commercial leadership rather than sitting 3 layers down.
What you get
- Permanent work from home
- AEST dayshift, weekends off
- Performance incentive on meetings held and revenue closed from your pipeline
- Direct access to the founders and the closers, not a call-centre floor
- A category nobody has run a proper outbound motion in yet
