Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) Education Specialist

We’re seeking a qualified Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) Education Specialist to support students in an Indiana school setting during the 2026–2027 academic year. This is an in-person opportunity for an educator committed to creating accessible learning experiences and helping students reach their academic and communication goals.

The selected educator will provide specialized instruction and individualized support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Working alongside classroom teachers, families, and related-service professionals, the specialist will help ensure students have the tools and support needed to participate meaningfully in their education.

What You’ll Do:

• Contribute to educational planning and track student growth.
  
• Provide individualized and specialized instruction based on student needs.
  
• Apply instructional strategies that promote engagement, independence, and learning.
  
• Partner with teachers, families, and support professionals to address student goals.
  
• Support communication development, classroom participation, and academic progress.
  
• Help maintain an inclusive classroom environment focused on accessibility and student success.
  

Requirements

1. Strong organizational and communication skills.
   
2. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
   
3. Valid Indiana Elementary Education (K–6) teaching license.
   
4. Valid Indiana teaching license for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in the appropriate school setting.
