About the role
You'll design the website updates for the D2C digital platforms consisting, user journeys and page layouts that move our clients' customers through the funnel. You'll be part of our design team and assigned to one of two delivery teams:
- Top of funnel: the pages that attract and engage new visitors, such as homepages, campaign and landing pages, and content and product discovery.
- Bottom of funnel: the journeys that convert, such as product and pricing pages, forms, sign-up, checkout and account flows.
Our clients are based in Amsterdam and you'll work with them directly. You'll own your work from brief to handover with little day-to-day supervision, so the role suits a self-starter who is happy working autonomously.
What you'll do
- Design website updates, new pages and layouts from brief to developer handover, across desktop and mobile.
- Map and improve the user journeys for your funnel stage, finding where visitors drop off and designing the fix.
- Produce wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI in Figma, working within each client's design system and extending it where needed.
- Contribute to client workshops, design reviews and presentations, and explain your design rationale clearly.
- Use analytics, user research and test results to shape your decisions, and propose A/B tests with marketing and optimisation colleagues.
- Work closely with developers, copywriters, strategists and product owners, and check builds against your designs before release.
- Design to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) and with page performance and SEO in mind.
- Prototype ideas, journeys and support user testing
- Share work early with the design team/engineering team, give and take critique, and contribute to shared patterns and ways of working.
How you'll work
You'll work within the client teams.
- Connected with client teams: you'll work in product teams, made up of clients as well as PS teams.
- Client-facing: you're comfortable in client conversations with stakeholders remotely.
- Data Driven problem solving: There will a backlog of initiatives and tasks that are problems driven by data and hypothesis
- Connected: working autonomously doesn't mean working alone. You keep your team and your clients informed and ask for input when it will improve the work.
What you'll bring
Essential
- Strong UX and UI skills: information architecture, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, visual design and responsive layout.
- Fluency in Figma, including components, auto layout and working with design systems
- Experience presenting to and working directly with clients or senior stakeholders.
- An understanding of how design affects acquisition and conversion, and confidence using analytics and test data.
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and of what is practical to build in HTML and CSS.
- Prototyping skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Comfortable working in the tobacco category
- Harness AI tools
Nice to have
- Agency or consultancy experience.
- Experience with conversion rate optimisation, A/B testing or experimentation tools.
- Experience designing for CMS-driven or component-based websites.
- Motion or interaction design skills.
