About Titanbay

Titanbay is unique in bringing every part of running a private markets fund together in one place, structuring, launching, running, and trading funds, on technology built specifically for this purpose. At the heart of that is our Central Bank of Ireland-regulated Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) in Ireland, which gives us the regulatory foundation to run private markets funds at scale.

Asset managers use Titanbay, and our regulated AIFM, to bring private markets funds to market and run them with the governance and oversight investors expect. Wealth managers access those funds and trade them through the systems they already have. Our tech and regulatory infrastructure connects both sides, automating the operational complexity that traditionally fragments the industry.

We're ambitious about the problem we're solving, and we care about doing it well: understanding our customers deeply, backing decisions with good evidence, and moving quickly so we can learn and improve.

Join a talented team where real ownership means your work and your thinking genuinely shape how we solve complex problems.

About the Role

We're looking for a Head of Compliance to join our growing Dublin-based team, holding the PCF 12 (Head of Compliance) function for our Irish regulated AIFM, reporting to the Managing Director of Titanbay Ireland Limited (TBIE), and taking on MLRO responsibilities alongside it. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to lead compliance for TBIE in a fast-scaling fintech, combining hands-on regulatory leadership with the chance to shape how a new kind of private markets platform operates.

You'll play a key role in keeping TBIE compliant and trusted by the Central Bank of Ireland, our clients and our partners. You'll work day to day with the Operations, Legal, Risk and Compliance functions and the wider regulated functions, contributing to the success of the team and company while developing skills and experience that will support your long-term growth at Titanbay.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Own the compliance framework for TBIE, including firm policies and written supervisory procedures, the annual compliance plan and the compliance monitoring programme
  • Hold the MLRO responsibilities alongside the compliance remit, with oversight of the AML/CFT programme and suspicious transaction reporting
  • Hold the PCF 12 (Head of Compliance) function and be the day-to-day point of contact for the Central Bank of Ireland on compliance matters, including PCF approval and ongoing fitness and probity obligations
  • Advise the TBIE board and senior management on regulatory obligations, conduct risk and new product launches
  • Track regulatory change across AIFMD, the CBI AIF Rulebook and Irish AML legislation, and turn it into practical action for the business
  • Use automation and AI thoughtfully to strengthen compliance monitoring and reporting, implementing them within agreed guardrails with our product and engineering teams
  • Lead and develop the compliance function, building a culture where issues are raised early and handled well, and working with Enterprise Risk, Model Governance, Audit and Client Onboarding to embed compliance into how we operate
  • Work with the Managing Director, AIFM and colleagues across Operations, Legal, Risk and Compliance on regulatory reporting, oversight of outsourced services, and managing regulatory and enforcement inquiries and audit remediation plans

What We're Looking For

  • Several years' compliance experience at an Irish or EU-regulated AIFM, including a senior remit as Head of Compliance or Deputy Head of Compliance
  • Hands-on experience of funds within an AIFM, including fund documentation, delegation oversight and investor-facing governance
  • Must be a current or previous holder of a CBI-approved PCF 12 (Head of Compliance) role
  • Bonus: a current or previous holder of a CBI-approved PCF 52 (MLRO) role
  • Strong AML awareness, with ideally MLRO or deputy MLRO exposure
  • Strong working knowledge of AIFMD, the CBI AIF Rulebook and the wider Irish regulatory framework, including AML/CFT and EU sanctions regimes
  • Experience working across Operations, Legal, Risk and Compliance in a regulated Irish or EU firm, and comfortable engaging with senior management and board members
  • A clear, confident communicator with regulators, board members and non-specialists alike
  • Pragmatic and commercially minded, able to design controls that protect the business without slowing it unnecessarily
  • Open-minded about technology: genuinely enthusiastic about using automation and AI to make compliance more effective, and comfortable applying them thoughtfully within clear governance and risk guardrails. Technology is at the heart of what we do at Titanbay, so you'll be working alongside product and engineering from day one
  • Honest and evidence-led, comfortable raising difficult findings, explaining the reasoning behind them, and being challenged in return

Benefits

  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (with the option to roll over up to 5 days per year)
  • Employee share options
  • Private health insurance
  • Private dental cover
  • Life insurance (3x salary)
  • Flexible salary sacrifice pension
  • ClassPass health & wellbeing membership
  • Juno lifestyle allowance
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • ParentPromise digital new parent support
  • Flexible working
  • Work from anywhere (up to one month per year)
  • Regular team events, lunches, and days out

We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and benefits to all.
