Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operator with a strong background in drapery, curtains, and custom window coverings. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience operating industrial sewing machines, working with different types of fabrics, and producing high-quality custom drapery products according to measurements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture curtains, drapes, and custom window coverings.
  

• Measure, cut, stitch, and assemble fabrics according to customer specifications.
  

• Perform hemming, pleating, stitching, and finishing of drapery panels.
  

• Work with various fabrics, including sheer, blackout, linen, cotton, and heavy-duty materials.
  

• Sew different drapery styles, including pinch pleat, ripple fold, and rod pocket curtains.
  

• Attach lining, blackout materials, and other drapery accessories.
  

• Read and follow measurements, cutting instructions, and production orders.
  

• Inspect finished products for stitching accuracy, fabric alignment, and overall quality.
  

• Adjust machine settings, thread tension, and needles according to fabric requirements.
  

• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  

• Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in drapery or curtain manufacturing preferred.
  

• Experience operating industrial sewing machines is required.
  

• Strong knowledge of drapery stitching, hemming, pleating, and fabric handling.
  

• Experience working with custom curtains, window coverings, or upholstery fabrics.
  

• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and sew fabric according to specifications.
  

• Familiarity with single-needle, double-needle, and overlock sewing machines.
  

• Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  

• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
  

• Comfortable handling large and heavy fabric panels.
  

• Strong understanding of quality control and finishing techniques.
  

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
