About the Role

The Catalyst Group is hiring a Chief Financial Officer on behalf of its client, a leading international real estate advisory firm operating in Pakistan as part of a regional and global group.

The client is looking for a commercially minded finance leader to own the financial health of its Pakistan business and act as a trusted partner to the CEO. Reporting to the CEO, with regular reporting lines to regional leadership, the CFO will lead financial reporting, treasury and cash management, and contribute directly to commercial strategy, with periodic interface with the board.

This role suits a seasoned finance professional who is a problem solver first, rather than a technical accountant or compliance specialist, and who can earn credibility with both the local leadership team and an international counterpart.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Strategy: Partner with the CEO on pricing, business cases and growth decisions, and bring a finance perspective that shapes the direction of the business
• Tax & Compliance: Oversee income tax and sales tax compliance and planning, working with external advisers where needed
• Financial Reporting & Governance: Own the preparation and integrity of financial statements, and deliver timely, accurate reporting to regional head offices
• Treasury & Capital Management: Set and manage the approach to surplus capital, including the existing mutual fund investments, balancing return, liquidity and risk
• Cash Flow & Project Finance: Maintain strong operational cash flow management and forward visibility, including cash management at the project level
• Leadership & Stakeholders: Lead and develop the finance team

Key Requirements


• Chartered Accountant (CA). An exceptional candidate without the qualification may be considered
• 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, with a record at Finance Director, Deputy CFO or equivalent level
• Command of IFRS and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience in treasury and cash management, including deploying surplus funds
• Working strength in income tax and sales tax
• A record of involvement in commercial strategy, where finance has influenced business decisions
• A practical, solutions-oriented approach and a collaborative style that fits a small, close-knit team
