Behavioral Health Growth Partners is recruiting on behalf of one of our behavioral health partners for a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides direct community-based behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Services are designed to support recovery, promote independence, develop coping skills, and improve overall functioning while working collaboratively with clients, families, treatment teams, and community partners.
This position requires the ability to work independently in community settings while maintaining high standards of professionalism, documentation, and clinical care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide direct community-based behavioral health services in accordance with individualized service plans.
- Deliver skill-building, psychoeducation, crisis prevention, and supportive interventions.
- Develop therapeutic relationships that promote client engagement and progress.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with families, referral sources, schools, medical providers, and community agencies.
- Monitor client progress and communicate significant concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, state, federal, and organizational requirements.
- Manage schedules effectively while maintaining productivity expectations.
- Travel throughout assigned service areas to meet with clients.
Requirements
Applicants must meet Virginia QMHP requirements, including one of the following:- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, or a closely related field and eligibility as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in Virginia.
- Meet Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) qualifications for QMHP designation.
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass required background screenings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic computer proficiency
