Textile Colorist

Job Summary

Responsible for developing, matching, and controlling textile colors according to customer requirements and approved standards. The role supports color development, dyeing trials, recipe adjustments, and troubleshooting to ensure consistent and accurate color quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and matchtextile colorsaccording to customer requirements, color standards, and approved samples.

• Prepare and conductlab dips, color swatches, and dyeing trials.

• Adjust dye formulations and recipes to achieve requiredcolor accuracy and consistency.

• Monitor and control the dyeing process to maintain consistent color quality.

• Conduct color evaluation usinglight boxes, spectrophotometers, and color-matching equipment.

• Troubleshoot color discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• Work closely withProduction, QA/QC, R&D, and Merchandisingteams to resolve color-related issues.

• Maintain accurate records ofcolor recipes, dye formulations, test results, and approved standards.

• Ensure colors meetcustomer specifications and company quality standards.

• Support new color development and improvements to existing dyeing processes.

• Follow all relevantSOPs, safety, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Degree inTextile, Color Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.

• Experience intextile dyeing, color matching, or textile manufacturingis an advantage.

• Good knowledge ofdyeing processes, color theory, and textile materials.

• Familiarity withspectrophotometers and color-matching systems.

• Stronganalytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

• Willing to work in afactory/manufacturing environment.
