The role sits close to the embedded world and is focused on owning the operating system foundation and platform layer of IoT devices. The engineer will build and evolve a next-generation embedded Linux image, work on the Python application layer on top of it, and operate across the boundary between hardware, OS, and product features.

The work spans Yocto-based Linux distribution development for ARM devices, system integration, device reliability, and debugging complex issues across kernel, drivers, networking, memory management, and application software. Success means taking end-to-end ownership, improving the platform proactively, and helping shape engineering best practices.
