ROLE SUMMARY
The Security Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating security risks across the Group's estates, factories, stores, offices, staff facilities, transport operations and other business locations. The role will provide leadership in security strategy, risk management, physical and electronic security, investigations, loss prevention, emergency preparedness, security intelligence, security technology, personnel management and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Group security policies, strategies and operational plans.
- Manage security operations across estates, factories, warehouses and other sites.
- Conduct security risk assessments, audits and routine security inspections.
- Oversee access control, CCTV, alarms, perimeter protection and Security Control Room operations.
- Coordinate security during tea harvesting, including night operations.
- Lead investigations into theft, fraud, vandalism, losses and other security incidents.
- Develop and coordinate emergency response, crisis management and business continuity plans.
- Provide daily security intelligence and situational reports to management.
- Manage security teams, outsourced security providers, deployment and performance.
- Coordinate with the National Police Service, government agencies, local administration, community leaders and emergency services.
- Support security arrangements for VIP visits, major events, employees, contractors and visitors.
- Manage the security budget and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
- Promote a strong safety, security and loss-prevention culture across the Group.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminology, Criminal Justice, police studies, Risk Management or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years' progressive experience in security management, preferably in tea, agriculture, manufacturing, FMCG or other complex operational environments.
- Proven experience in multi-site security operations.
- Experience in Security Control Room management.
- Strong knowledge of physical and electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarms and perimeter protection.
- Experience in investigations, loss prevention, emergency response and crisis management.
- Strong stakeholder-management and law-enforcement liaison skills.
- Professional certifications such as CPP, CFE, PCI, PSP or SRMP will be an added advantage.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
