Adjust tasks and schedules based on priorities and instruct best work practices. Plan and coordinate in-house and outsourced works with timelines and execution. Prepare and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Monitor daily maintenance software entries vs. jobs completed to track staff productivity. Investigate maintenance issues first hand and propose solutions with superiors. Support technicians on specific jobs when needed. Inspect facilities periodically to detect problems and maintenance needs. Inspect and maintain building systems (e.g., HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation). Supervise contractors and tradespeople during installations, repairs, or maintenance. Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget. Monitor inventory of materials and equipment. Sign purchase orders and invoices for requested materials. Ensure cost-effectiveness and quality in outsourced works and material procurement. Enforce adherence to quality standards and health & safety regulations. Recruit, train and supervise maintenance technicians. Participate in coordination and execution of projects (e.g., renovations). Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and reduce costs.   Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Higher Technical Diploma (HTD) or equivalent in a relevant technical field. Electrical Licence A or B is an asset. Familiarity with modern HVAC and ELV systems.
