Job Overview

A leading multi-specialty hospital in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, is looking for a qualified and compassionate Consultant Gynecologist to join its medical team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, conducting clinical examinations, performing surgical procedures, and managing high-risk pregnancies and emergencies. Comfortable accommodation will be provided on or near the hospital campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality prenatal, natal, and postnatal care to patients.
  

• Perform routine gynecological procedures, normal deliveries, Cesarean sections (C-sections), and minor/major gynecological surgeries.
  

• Diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system, including infertility, hormonal imbalances, and infections.
  

• Manage gynecological emergencies and high-risk pregnancy cases effectively.
  

• Counsel patients on family planning, reproductive health, hygiene, and preventive care.
  

• Collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure holistic patient outcomes.
  

• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to medical ethics and hospital safety standards.
  

• Language: Proficiency in Tamil and English; knowledge of Malayalam is an added advantage given proximity to Kerala.

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: MBBS with MS/MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology or DNB/DGO from a recognized institution.
  

• Experience: Open to freshers as well as experienced practitioners (1–5+ years of experience preferred).
  

• License: Mandatory registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC) or Tamil Nadu Medical Council (TNMC).
  

• Skills:
  

  • Proficiency in diagnostic ultrasound, laparoscopy (optional but beneficial), and surgical interventions.
    

  • Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and emergency handling skills.
    

  • Compassionate patient communication and bedside manner.
