Senior Accountant

About the Role

This role oversees global invoicing, collections, payables, receivables, and monthly financial close processes for the company’s Hong Kong entity—the organization’s global trading and billing hub and the parent entity to its China operations. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of independence, accuracy, and accountability within a global finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing and payment tracking.
  
• Execute monthly financial close processes, producing accurate P&L statements and balance sheets.
  
• Perform expense reconciliations and interface daily with the Director of Supply Chain (China).
  
• Prepare and maintain books in full readiness for annual Hong Kong statutory tax filing.
  
• Support a growing transaction volume over time while maintaining accuracy across high-value, high-stakes contracts.
  

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Prior hands-on experience with Hong Kong tax filing and accounting procedures; able to operate independently from day one without foundational training.
  
• Fluent written and spoken English, with strong responsiveness and communication across time zones.
  
• Basic working proficiency with AI tools.
  
• A demonstrated track record of career growth and a strong interest in continuing to grow within the role over time.
  
• Currently in a stable career stage with a clear focus on professional development.
