Require a Technical Project Manager in Lusaka, Zambia

• Direct end-to-end project lifecycles for major telecommunications deployments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  
• Spearhead the design and optimization of FTTX/FTTH networks, focusing on GPON, XGS-PON, ODN, and passive outside-plant components.
  
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including fiber route strategies, splice configurations, network schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  
• Oversee large-scale infrastructure rollouts, managing significant capital budgets and resource allocation efficiently.
  
• Facilitate collaboration across multiple departments and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
  
• Apply strategic decision-making and leadership skills to navigate complex challenges and drive innovation.
  
• Utilize industry-standard project management software to track progress, manage risks, and report on key performance indicators.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Project Management or a related field.
  
• Master's Degree will be an Added Advantage
  
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably within a telecom operator, ISP, technology company or large enterprise.
  
• Proven experience managing telecommunications or technology projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  
• Strong experience in FTTX/FTTH network design, including GPON/XGS-PON, ODN and passive outside-plant infrastructure.
  
• Experience developing fibre route plans, splice plans, network designs and BOMs.
  
• Strong technical knowledge of GPON, XGS-PON, IP/MPLS, DWDM, SD-WAN, core networking, OSP and ISP infrastructure.
  
• Experience managing large-scale network infrastructure projects and significant CapEx budgets.
  
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint or equivalent project collaboration tools.
  
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
•  Knowledge of French or local market languages is an advantage.
  
• PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, ITIL or telecom-specific certifications are strong advantages.
