Adelphi is seeking a licensed and experienced Medical Director to lead psychiatric and clinical operations at a facility in Union County, Illinois. The ideal candidate will oversee psychiatric and medical service quality, supervise clinical staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABMS or equivalent)
- Active and unrestricted Illinois medical license
- Minimum three (3) years of substantive medical administrative experience directing, planning, and evaluating a medical/clinical program
- Ability to supervise and coordinate staff and activities across multiple professional disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across disciplines
- Clean employment history verification
- Clean AMA/AOA profile check
- Clean OIG Medicare/Medicaid sanctions check
- TB (Mantoux) skin test prior to start, or proof of one within the last 90 days
- Familiarity with IDPH, Joint Commission (TJC), and CMS regulatory standards
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and medical leadership for all psychiatric services at the facility
- Supervise medical staff and maintain the overall quality of clinical care provided.
- Plan and implement medical treatment regimens, individual care programs, & facility services
- Develop and implement policies for individual care standards and medical ethics
- Monitor licensing and regulatory compliance
- Ensure regulatory readiness for all applicable bodies, including IDPH, TJC, and CMS
- Oversee performance, training/development opportunities, and monitoring of clinical staffing levels
- Monitor and manage overtime utilization among clinical staff
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident/patient records in accordance with HIPAA and state law
