IT System Support Executive (Malta based candidates only)

Our client, a well-established organisation in Malta, is looking for an IT System Support Executive to provide technical support to users and maintain the effective operation of its IT systems, hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, networks and systems.
  
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating complex incidents when necessary.
  
• Install, configure and maintain software, operating systems and hardware.
  
• Manage user accounts, access permissions and security settings.
  
• Monitor system performance and carry out routine maintenance.
  
• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and network connectivity issues.
  
• Maintain IT asset records and assist with security procedures.
  
• Provide user guidance and training, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
  
• Participate in an on call rotation to support critical incidents.
  

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in IT support, ideally in an enterprise environment.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  
• Category B driving license.
  
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting and software configuration.
  
• Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routers, switches and wireless technologies.
  
• Ability to manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  

Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks, CompTIA A+, MCITP or similar certifications, and basic MSSQL queries is considered an asset.
