Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring an Automotive/JIS Material Planner on behalf of our client, an electric pick-up truck and rugged SUV manufacturer with a new plant in Blythewood, South Carolina. The Specialist JIS (just-in-sequence) Material Planner is responsible for bringing new suppliers live on JIS processes, from planning concepts through supplier support, JIT coordination and material flow optimization. Relocation assistance is available.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design and implement planning concepts for JIS disposition.
  
• Support suppliers in JIS processes, including transportation, infrastructure, packaging, scheduling and equipment.
  
• Initiate and coordinate JIT process activities such as parts lists and disposition releases.
  
• Develop countermeasures as part of bottleneck control.
  
• Clarify and eliminate JIT process problems.
  
• Identify and maintain data for part inventory management and control.
  
• Establish cooperative communication with suppliers.
  
• Develop and optimize material flow, delivery programs and production programs with JIT suppliers.
  
• Take on special tasks corresponding to the job duties.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
  
• 4+ years of experience in automotive production and logistics, such as inbound/outbound logistics, supplier management, material planning and JIT/JIS.
  
• Experience in an automotive logistics supply chain focused on JIS processes.
  
• Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
