Senior Relationship Officer

Kolomoni Microfinance Bank (Gambia) Limited is a CBG-licensed microfinance institution serving customers across The Gambia through a growing branch network. We are recruiting Senior Relationship Officers to lead Pods within our Sales & Business Development function.

THE ROLE
You will lead a Pod of Relationship Officers, Junior Relationship Officers and Direct Sales Agents in an assigned branch — carrying your own client relationships while holding the team accountable for theirs. You own the Pod's acquisition, deposits and lending, and you own the quality of what it writes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead the Pod to its client acquisition, deposit mobilization and loan disbursement targets.
  
• Grow the client base across group, MSME and individual segments, and deepen existing relationships.
  
• Monitor the Pod's portfolio and hold Portfolio at Risk within approved limits.
  
• Lead recovery on overdue accounts, coordinating Relationship Officers and Direct Sales Agents.
  
• Review and validate loan applications for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  
• Coach and supervise the Pod through field visits, check-ins and honest performance conversations.
  
• Hold the standard on ethical selling, customer due diligence and documentation.
  

Requirements

• At least 4 years in relationship management, business development or lending in banking or microfinance.
  
• A demonstrated record of growing deposits and a performing loan portfolio.
  
• Practical experience of credit documentation, due diligence and portfolio monitoring.
  
• An HND or first degree in any discipline; an MBA or professional qualification is an advantage.
  
• The judgement to decline business that will not repay.
