Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Science to lead the Science Department and drive high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement within a progressive CBSE curriculum environment.

The successful candidate will provide curriculum leadership, manage and develop the Science teaching team, strengthen assessment practices, and promote inquiry-based STEM learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, review, and implementation of a coherent Science curriculum aligned with CBSE/NCERT standards and KHDA requirements.
  
• Lead, manage, and inspire Science teachers to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  
• Promote student-centered, inquiry-based approaches to Science and STEM education.
  
• Monitor classroom instruction, teaching quality, and curriculum delivery.
  
• Review student performance and assessment data to identify areas for improvement.
  
• Ensure consistent and rigorous assessment practices across Science disciplines.
  
• Support teachers through mentoring, coaching, classroom observations, and professional development.
  
• Develop and implement strategies to improve student achievement and engagement.
  
• Maintain curriculum documentation and ensure compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
  
• Collaborate with school leadership on academic planning and departmental development.
  

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Science or a relevant subject.
  
• Mandatory B.Ed. qualification.
  
• Minimum 3–5 years of Science leadership experience.
  
• Experience specifically within UAE Indian-curriculum/CBSE schools.
  
• Strong knowledge of CBSE/NCERT curriculum and assessment practices.
  
• Good understanding of UAE school operations and KHDA expectations.
  
• Fully attested educational and professional documents.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team-management skills.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading a Science Department in a CBSE school.
  
• Knowledge of STEM education and inquiry-based learning.
  
• Experience with curriculum development and academic improvement initiatives.
  
• Strong data-analysis and student-progress monitoring skills.
