This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Financial Manager who enjoys being close to the numbers, the operations and the decision-making.

Based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, this role offers the opportunity to lead the finance function within a fast-moving product environment where cash flow, working capital, profitability and strong financial controls really matter.

THE ROLE

You’ll take ownership across:

• Full financial and management reporting
  
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  
• Cash flow, liquidity and working-capital management
  
• Debtors, creditors and collections oversight
  
• Cost control and profitability analysis
  
• Banking relationships and funding requirements
  
• Financial controls, audit, tax and statutory compliance
  
• Management insights and decision support
  
• Leading and developing the finance team
  
• Improving finance processes and controls
  

The scope reflects the Financial Manager responsibilities as reporting, budgeting, cash flow, profitability, receivables and payables.

Requirements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’re an experienced finance professional who is commercial, practical and hands-on. You can move comfortably between reviewing the numbers, managing cash flow, working with banks, supporting management and getting involved when something needs to be fixed.

You’ll ideally have:

• • Finance Degree / Professional Designation
    
  • CIMA/SAIPA articles advantageous
    
  • Previous Financial Manager or senior finance experience
    
  • Strong reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience
    
  • Excellent cash flow and working-capital knowledge
    
  • Team leadership experience
    
  • Strong financial controls and compliance exposure
    
  • FMCG, manufacturing or a related industry background advantageous
