Medical Equipment & BIM Planner- Revit - FF&E

We are partnering with a top-tier U.S. healthcare consulting firm and commercial dealership to find a Medical Equipment & BIM Planner to join their remote team.

Working directly with our client, you won't just be dropping Revit families into a model—you will be the vital link connecting medical equipment strategy, clinical workflows, and precision BIM execution. Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Medical Equipment Planning & Procurement

• Space Planning: Execute interior logistics and equipment development, including space calculations, cost estimates, and FF&E specifications.
• Data Management: Update and reconcile project planning databases (e.g., Attainia) with accurate pricing, models, and specifications for the client.
• Procurement Support: Assist with equipment selection, budget management, and post-occupancy punch-list reviews.
• Continuous Learning: Participate in vendor product training to stay current on medical equipment modalities and clinical integration.

Revit / BIM Model Execution & Spatial Coordination

• Model Integration: Build and coordinate medical equipment within architectural Revit models, ensuring total alignment with Attainia databases.
• Design Translation: Interpret Bluebeam markups and design intent from project teams, translating revisions directly into BIM models.
• Specialized Space Planning: Accurately map out operating rooms, exam rooms, imaging areas, labs, and support spaces.
• Spatial Accuracy: Ensure proper clearances, access requirements, human factors, and integration with architectural elements (walls, millwork, MEP).
• Proactive Troubleshooting: Identify and communicate spatial conflicts, equipment fit issues, or non-compliances early to project leadership.
• Content Creation: Locate, modify, and build Revit families leveraging manufacturer documentation and internal BIM libraries.

Client Presentation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Deliverables: Produce drawings, specification packages, and finish presentation boards for client submittals and procurement orders.
• Team Coordination: Actively participate in meetings with multidisciplinary design teams, hospital leadership, clinicians, and vendors.
• Standards Enforcement: Support the preparation of tagged equipment plans and construction documents while maintaining strict BIM naming conventions.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2 to 5+ years of experience working on architectural or healthcare design projects, interfacing directly with multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Proficiency

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Bluebeam Revu is required.
• Experience working with medical equipment planning databases (e.g., Attainia) or similar equipment specification software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and evaluate complex architectural blueprints, elevations, and construction documentation.

Domain Expertise & Industry Knowledge

• Solid understanding of medical equipment modalities, utility integration, and clinical operational workflows.
• Working knowledge of healthcare construction processes, building codes, and applicable spatial guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with Revit family creation, content management, and enforcing BIM model standards.
