Nanny for 2 girls in Decatur

A loving family is seeking a compassionate, engaging, and dependable nanny for their two daughters, ages 8 and 9 school-age. One daughter is blind and uses a cane for mobility and an AAC communication device. She is happy, playful, and loves music, piano, audiobooks, playgrounds, swings, the trampoline, and imaginative play. She benefits from a nanny who is highly attentive, uses descriptive language, and actively engages with her throughout the day. Her sister is social, active, and responsible and enjoys reading, games, gymnastics, drama, swimming, and spending time with her sister. Both girls thrive with a caregiver who is caring, patient, talkative with the children, and genuinely invested in their development and independence.

The summer schedule will be slightly different than the school schedule and the schedule will need to have some flexibility. The nanny will typically start around 11:00 AM–12:00 PM and help with meal prep, light cooking, children's laundry, dishes, light housekeeping, and errands before the girls return from school around 2:30–3:00 PM. Afternoon responsibilities include engaging the girls in activities, helping with after-school pickups when needed, and providing attentive supervision. The nanny must be comfortable swimming and physically active, as well as open to occasional school-break care, travel, or overnights. The family is looking for someone who wants a very long-term position and will become a trusted, caring part of the girls' lives.
