What you will be doing:

• Act as the architectural SME and coach for an embedded business domain, bridging strategic objectives with executable solution designs.
  
• Design resilient integration patterns - focusing on APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud middleware - to connect upstream and downstream systems cleanly.
  
• Translate enterprise guardrails into practical delivery models, balancing rapid execution with long-term architectural health.
  
• Partner closely with Finance, Technology, Security, and Data teams to convert functional requirements into clear, implementable technical designs.
  
• Help shape data migration, security, and governance strategies to ensure auditability, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
  
• Support delivery teams through design, build, test, and deployment phases, resolving architectural risks and ensuring continuous alignment.
  

What our client is looking for:

• A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.)
  
• 7+ years experience designing enterprise-scale solutions in complex IT environments.
  
• Strong practical knowledge of modern enterprise integration patterns, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and middleware.
  
• Solid experience with cloud architectures, with a specific focus on Microsoft Azure.
  
• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) sufficient to work effectively within established guardrails.
  
• Understanding of security, risk, and compliance requirements within financial, investment, or highly regulated industries.
  
• Ability to influence stakeholders, coach delivery teams, and confidently navigate complex technical landscapes.
