Dune Strategy is a management consulting firm based in Dubai. We advise international investors, family groups and sovereign-linked entities on the commercial decisions that set their position in the region, from market entry and regional expansion to transactions and joint ventures. The work is small in volume and close in nature: partners stay in the conversations where decisions get made, and the research behind those conversations has to be good enough to act on.
About The Role
We are hiring a Junior Relationship Banker to work alongside our partners on client relationships and the commercial reading that supports them. You will sit close to the counterparties, the numbers and the notes that go out the door. It is a permanent, full-time role, hybrid, based in Dubai.
What You Will Do
After a year, you should be running your own briefing for a partner meeting without needing it checked line by line. You will spot the commercial call earlier, often before the client says it out loud, and you will know which questions to ask first when the information is thin. Counterparties should recognise your name and answer your calls. The measure is simple: the people making the decision trust what you hand them.

We are hiring a Junior Relationship Banker to work alongside our partners on client relationships and the commercial reading that supports them. You will sit close to the counterparties, the numbers and the notes that go out the door. It is a permanent, full-time role, hybrid, based in Dubai.
What You Will Do
- Research clients, counterparties and family ownership structures, and keep that picture current as things move.
- Map who matters in a transaction or a market entry question: who decides, who influences, who has to be comfortable before anything signs.
- Assemble briefing material for partner meetings so the person walking in knows the history, the numbers and the open questions.
- Track a regulatory path from first enquiry to approval, noting where the timeline sits and what could slow it down.
- Write the short note a partner uses in the room: clear position, the reasoning behind it, and the gaps still open.
- Keep relationship records and follow-ups in order, so nothing depends on someone remembering.
- Basic grounding in finance or commercial analysis, from studies, an internship, a placement or a side project.
- Clear written English. You can put a point on one page and have it hold up when someone reads it closely.
- An organised way of working, with care for the small details that change a number.
- Comfort with incomplete information. Early on, the picture is partial and the answer arrives by asking better questions.
- A pragmatic streak: you ask what a decision means for the client, not only what it looks like on paper.
- Discretion. Much of what crosses this desk stays on this desk.
- An interest in finance, economics or politics, and the habit of following current affairs properly rather than skimming headlines.
- Arabic, or another language spoken across the region. Useful, never required.
- Exposure to a sector such as real estate, industrials, financial services or family-held businesses.
- Prior research work of any kind: a university project, a report, an internship where you were the one gathering the facts.
- A hybrid arrangement, based in Dubai, with time in the office and time working elsewhere.
- Direct exposure to partners who are in the client conversations themselves.
- The chance to learn how complex markets and sovereign capital priorities operate, from the inside of live engagements.
- A deliberately small portfolio of active work, which means your research gets read and used.
- Room to grow into client-facing responsibility as your judgement develops.
