Equipment Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on drill rigs (e.g., Epiroc, Sandvik, Atlas Copco) and hydraulic/diesel systems.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical faults quickly in field or workshop environments.
Site Support: Assist with rig setup, drill pad preparation, and down-the-hole (DTH) hammer or bit replacements.
Sample & Data Handling: Collect, process, and log core samples or cuttings when supporting exploration or geotechnical teams.
Safety Compliance: Follow mine health and safety protocols, conduct pre-start checks, and maintain safe working practices.

Requirements

Education: Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
Credentials: Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Drill Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade.
Zambian Certifications: Valid Silicosis Medical Certificate (mandatory for most Zambian mining sites) and a valid Driver’s License.
Professional Body: Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience working with heavy drilling or mining equipment.
