Are you passionate about luxury safari, guest experiences and creating unforgettable stays in the bush? An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Camp Manager to join a prestigious safari lodge operation.

THE ROLE

As Camp Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring every guest receives a personalised, seamless and exceptional safari experience while supporting the wider lodge management team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome, host and farewell guests
  
• Manage guest preferences, dietaries and special requests
  
• Create personalised guest experiences and memorable experiences
  
• Host meals and ensure exceptional service standards
  
• Conduct site inspections and ensure arrival rooms meet standards
  
• Maintain luxury brand and service standards
  
• Review guest feedback and implement improvements
  
• Work closely with Butlers, Hospitality, Operations and Lodge Management
  
• Assist with stock takes, ordering and stock control
  
• Assist with guest bills, day sheets and gratuities
  
• Support lodge operations when managers are on leave
  
• Contribute to staff training and development
  
• Help develop and enhance the children's programmes
  
• Assist with Safari Shop operations when required
  
• Ensure guest preferences are accurately captured digitally
  

Requirements

Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a 5-star operation
Previous managerial experience
Strong luxury hospitality and guest-relations background
Valid, unendorsed South African driver's licence
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Professional, positive and hospitable personality
Ability to work under pressure
Creative, proactive and solutions-driven
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
MS Office proficiency
PANstrat experience advantageous
Food & wine knowledge preferred
Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
