Irwin & Dow is supporting a highly respected Dubai-based organisation with the appointment of an Assistant Manager to join its Cyber Risk & Technology function. Open exclusively to UAE Nationals, this opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in technology risk, cyber risk, IT audit, cybersecurity governance, operational resilience, regulatory compliance, or risk management who are looking to further develop their expertise within a sophisticated and highly regulated environment. Reporting to a Senior Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in assessing, monitoring, and supervising technology and cyber risks across a diverse portfolio of organisations. Working within a risk-based framework, you will support risk assessments, thematic reviews, supervisory activities, and ongoing monitoring programmes designed to ensure effective governance, risk management, operational resilience, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities will include analysing technology, cybersecurity, operational, and governance risks; identifying emerging threats and trends through firm-specific and market intelligence; conducting desk-based and onsite reviews; evaluating control environments; and supporting the implementation and monitoring of risk mitigation plans. You will be expected to assess complex information, draw sound conclusions, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to a range of internal and external stakeholders. The role will also contribute to the development and enhancement of supervisory methodologies, risk frameworks, policies, and procedures. Acting as a subject matter resource, you will provide technical guidance on technology and cyber risk matters, support licensing and regulatory assessments, contribute to strategic projects, and engage with industry participants and stakeholders on emerging technology and cybersecurity issues.

To be considered, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Business, or a related discipline, together with a minimum of three years of relevant experience gained within financial services, technology, cybersecurity, technology risk, IT audit, consulting, operational risk, compliance, regulatory, or governance environments. Professional certifications and postgraduate qualifications will be viewed favourably. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to assess complex environments while providing practical, risk-based recommendations. Experience in financial services, fintech, digital assets, technology governance, cyber risk oversight, or operational resilience would be particularly advantageous.
