Spend meaningful time with an elderly resident at HammondCare Hammondville Residential Aged Care, offering companionship, warmth, and genuine connection.

We’re hoping to find someone who speaks Italian, has a little knowledge of Italian culture, and enjoys friendly conversation —but most importantly, someone who is kind, patient, and happy to brighten another person’s day through simple moments together.

Your impact

Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, both for the people you interact with as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

18 years or older • Italian Speaking skills • NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
