2. Job Brief Description
The Executive Publishing Director & Managing Editor serves as the master intellectual architect and creative director for high-stakes client manuscripts. In a business world dominated by disposable social media posts and superficial AI content, this partner leads our Global Authority Book Publishing stream, capturing the authentic voice and hard-earned insights of elite corporate leaders and translating them into commercially viable, legacy-building books.
Operating at the strategic nexus of developmental ghostwriting, rigorous structural editing, intellectual property structuring, and master-level typographic design, the Director oversees the complete journey from raw conceptual discovery to physical book distribution. This partner works directly with founders, C-suite executives, and public policy architects to deliver 100% IP ownership, turnkey print-ready assets, and instant retail availability across more than 40,000 bookstores, corporate libraries, and academic networks worldwide.
3. Required Skills & Competencies

Executive Ghostwriting & Developmental Editing (Skill #2): Elite ability to capture the authentic voice of C-suite leaders and founders, organizing raw strategic insight into structured, compelling long-form narratives and business playbooks.
-
Advanced Pre-Press Typography & Editorial Design (Skill #3): Production-grade typesetting and layout design in Adobe InDesign CC, including master page grid architecture, font hierarchy, kerning, micro-typography, and pre-flight print separation.

-
Enterprise Workflow & Automation Architecture (Skill #9): Orchestrating multi-stage manuscript editorial workflows, version-controlled review cycles, and client sign-offs using Zoho Creator, Zoho Docs, and project pipelines.
-
Diagnostic Client Elicitation & Elite Interviewing (Skill #1): Conducting high-yield, empathetic diagnostic interview sessions with time-constrained executives to draw out proprietary frameworks without causing client fatigue.
-
Multi-Stakeholder Editorial Project Management (Skill #2): Managing multi-month book publication cycles, coordinating proofreaders, illustrators, legal teams, and executive stakeholders without scope creep.
-
Strategic Thought-Leadership Positioning (Skill #3): Analyzing market saturation and competitive business literature to carve out uncontested intellectual territory and category authority for the author.
-
Print Production Sourcing & Material Specifications (Skill #8): Detailed specification of paper weights (GSM), binding types (case laminate, jacketed hardcover, foil stamping, edge guilding, and specialty paper stocks) for bespoke executive editions.
-
Content Atomization & Derivative Asset Packaging (Skill #6): Breaking down a 250+ page monograph into executive briefs, keynote frameworks, LinkedIn series, and internal corporate training modules.
4. Core Responsibilities & Deliverables
