Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Helper to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation, cleaning, dish washing, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The candidate should be physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to following food safety and hygiene standards.


Responsibilities

Assisting with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients).
Washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Cleaning kitchen workstations, floors, storage areas, and food preparation surfaces.
Receiving, checking, and storing food supplies and ingredients properly.
Organizing kitchen inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
Removing trash and recycling while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
Following food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Operating and cleaning kitchen equipment safely.
Helping chefs during meal preparation and service when required.
Ensuring ingredients and tools are readily available for the cooking team.
Monitoring stock levels and informing supervisors when supplies are running low.
Supporting opening and closing kitchen procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
Ability to assist with washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions from chefs and supervisors.
Punctual, reliable, hardworking, and well-groomed.
Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays when required.
