Dune Strategy
Associate Management Consultant

A counterparty has gone quiet two days before a decision, and the partner needs a clear read on where they stand. That note has to be built from scratch, fast, and it has to hold up when the client reads it aloud in a board meeting. We are hiring an Associate Management Consultant to do that research and drafting work, permanently, full time, working remotely from Dubai.
About Dune Strategy
Dune Strategy is a management consulting firm based in Dubai. We stay small on purpose, with a limited portfolio of active engagements, so partners have time for the commercial conversations where decisions get made. Our work goes to international investors, family groups and sovereign-linked entities making decisions about how they operate and expand across the region, and the associate role exists to put well-built market intelligence in front of the people making those calls.
What You Will Do
Most of your week goes into building the picture a partner works from. Typical work looks like this:
You think in order and write in plain sentences. When you find something unclear, you say so early instead of filling the gap with confident-sounding text. We expect you to be comfortable starting a piece of research with an incomplete brief, coming back with a sharper set of questions, then a usable answer. Care with numbers matters here, since a single wrong figure in a briefing note undermines everything around it. The role sits at associate level, so we are looking for someone at the start of this kind of work, with basic research and analysis skills from studies, an internship or a first job, and the reliability to keep several threads moving without being chased. A good command of written English is required.
Helpful Background
None of the following is required, and we would rather read a clear writing sample than a long list of coursework.

What You Will Do
Most of your week goes into building the picture a partner works from. Typical work looks like this:
- Researching a counterparty, a sector or a regulatory path, and turning what you find into a short written position rather than a pile of links.
- Mapping ownership, shareholders and decision makers in a family group or joint venture, including who signs off.
- Assembling briefing material for client meetings and board packs, with the numbers checked and the sources named.
- Drafting the note a partner reads on the way to a meeting: what the decision is, what the options are, what you would advise.
- Following a live regulatory or policy thread over weeks and telling the team when something has moved.
- Keeping engagement files and research records in order so the work can be picked up by anyone on the team.

- Exposure to any sector where commercial decisions turned on local operating conditions.
- Prior research work: a thesis, a due diligence support role, an internship at a firm advising clients.
- Comfort with spreadsheets and with building a clean slide deck from your own findings.
