Appointed Person (Lifting)

Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Appointed Person (Lifting) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our client, AQUALISTAR Inspection and Maintenance Services L.L.C-S.P.C, is seeking skilled and competent lifting professionals with strong expertise in complex load calculations, rig configurations, and Lift Plan preparation and approval. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed Lift Plans for lifting operations based on load characteristics, site conditions, and operational requirements.
  
• Calculate complex loads, load distribution, lifting points, sling forces, and other critical lifting parameters.
  
• Draft appropriate rigging configurations for safe execution of lifting activities.
  
• Review lifting requirements and determine suitable lifting methods and arrangements.
  
• Verify that lifting plans and rigging configurations meet applicable technical and safety requirements.
  
• Formally review, approve, and sign off Lift Plans within the appointed person's scope of competency.
  
• Coordinate with lifting and site personnel to ensure planned lifting arrangements are clearly understood.
  
• Identify lifting-related hazards and incorporate appropriate controls into lifting plans.
  

Required Skills

1. Lift Planning: Ability to prepare technically sound Lift Plans for lifting operations.
   
2. Complex Load Calculations: Strong competency in calculating and evaluating complex lifting loads.
   
3. Rig Configuration: Ability to develop suitable rigging arrangements based on lifting requirements.
   
4. Lifting Operations: Strong technical understanding of safe lifting practices and planning.
   
5. Lift Plan Approval: Competence and authority to review and formally sign off Lift Plans.
   

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of lifting safety practices and technical standards.
  
• Ability to interpret lifting and rigging technical information.
  
• Experience supporting complex lifting activities in inspection, maintenance, or industrial environments.
  

Work Experience Requirements

The posting requires 5 years of experience. Candidates should have relevant practical experience in lifting operations, with demonstrated competence in load calculations, rig configurations, and preparation and approval of Lift Plans.

Education

• Minimum: Typical qualification — relevant technical/engineering diploma or equivalent.
  
• Preferred: Typical qualification — engineering/technical qualification related to lifting or industrial operations.
  
• Additional: Recognized lifting certification such as LEEA, as specified in the requirement.
