Senior Cardiovascular Technologist – Electrophysiology

Black Pearl Consult is looking for a Senior Cardiovascular Technologist – Cardiac Electrophysiology in Dubai, UAE. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced cardiovascular technology professional with expertise in cardiac electrophysiology and advanced EP lab technology, supporting specialist cardiac teams in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.

The role

You will provide technical support during electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation procedures, helping the clinical team deliver safe, high-quality patient care. You will also work with cardiac rhythm management devices and support accurate procedure records and equipment readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Support electrophysiologists during diagnostic EP studies and cardiac ablation procedures.
  
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot electrophysiology recording, mapping and monitoring systems.
  
• Monitor intracardiac signals and share relevant procedural data with the clinical team.
  
• Assist with pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation, testing and follow-up.
  
• Prepare patients, equipment and procedure rooms before each case.
  
• Complete accurate clinical and procedural documentation.
  
• Follow patient safety, infection control and radiation protection standards.
  
• Contribute to quality improvement and support colleagues’ technical development when needed.
  

Requirements

What you’ll bring

• A bachelor’s degree in a cardiovascular technology programme.
  
• Practical experience in a cardiac electrophysiology service or EP laboratory.
  
• A valid DHA licence as a Cardiovascular Technologist, or eligibility to obtain one.
  
• Experience with EP mapping and recording systems, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and pacemaker or ICD programming and troubleshooting.
  
• A recognised certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology or Cardiac Rhythm Management is an advantage.
  
• Clear communication, sound technical judgement and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary cardiac team.
