Accounts & Tax Senior

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts & Tax Senior to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Ashford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accountancy practice experience looking for a varied role across accounts and tax. The firm offers hybrid working and is happy to consider both full time and part time candidates.

As an Accounts & Tax Senior, you’ll work closely with managers and the senior team, preparing accounts and tax returns and building relationships with clients. Alongside a salary of £40,000 to £55,000, the package includes an annual bonus, parking and a healthcare benefit.

Responsibilities

As an Accounts & Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
  
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
  
• Preparing personal tax returns and supporting clients with tax compliance.
  
• Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT work where required.
  
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve accounts and tax queries.
  
• Managing your workload to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  
• Supporting junior colleagues and working closely with managers to deliver an excellent client service.
  

Requirements

To be considered for this Accounts & Tax Senior opportunity, you’ll have:

• Previous accounts and tax experience within an accountancy practice.
  
• A good understanding of statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax and personal tax.
  
• Confidence using accountancy software.
  
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload.
  
• Good communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients.
  
• A friendly, collaborative approach and a willingness to support colleagues.
  
• This Accounts & Tax Senior role could suit an experienced Senior looking for a new opportunity or a strong Semi Senior ready to take the next step.
