Construction Project Manager

Design Hire is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial and institutional building projects. This position offers the opportunity to manage a variety of construction activities, coordinate project teams, and take ownership of scheduling, financial performance, and successful project delivery. Ideal candidates will have a strong commercial general contracting background with exposure to educational facilities, municipal projects, or other publicly funded construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project operations, coordinating field teams, subcontractors, design professionals, and project stakeholders.
  
• Manage project financials, including budgets, cost forecasting, subcontractor agreements, billing, and change order administration.
  
• Develop and monitor construction schedules, identify potential delays, and implement solutions to maintain project milestones.
  
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractor performance, project documentation, and construction quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Oversee project planning, design coordination, and closeout activities while maintaining effective communication with internal and external teams.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction project management experience with a commercial general contractor.
  
• Procore experience required.
  
• Background in K-12, educational, municipal, institutional, or public sector construction strongly preferred.
  
• Experience managing subcontractors, construction budgets, project schedules, and contract administration.
  
• Familiarity with preconstruction activities, constructability reviews, and coordination with architects and engineers.
  
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Sage Timberline, Primavera P6, or comparable construction management software preferred.
  
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate multiple project priorities.
  
• Ability to satisfy applicable jobsite safety requirements, certifications, and background screening.
