Role Summary

We are seeking a customer-focused Presales Executive to support wholesale and retail sales. You will respond to enquiries, understand customer needs, present products and pricing, maintain accurate CRM records, and follow up consistently to help convert qualified leads into orders.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to enquiries received by phone, WhatsApp, email, website, marketplaces and walk-ins.

Qualify prospects by understanding buyer type, quantity, budget, delivery location and purchase timeline; record complete details in the CRM.

Explain product specifications, pack sizes, minimum order quantities, pricing, applicable certifications and benefits clearly.

Prepare and share quotations, price lists, catalogs and proposals tailored to wholesale or retail customers.

Maintain CRM lead stages, call notes, follow-up dates and deal records; keep the sales pipeline current and prepare activity reports.

Follow up by calls, messages and email; address questions on price, quality, delivery and payment terms, and negotiate within approved limits.

Convert quotations into confirmed orders and obtain advance or payment confirmation; escalate exceptions to the Sales Head or management.

Coordinate confirmed orders with sales, accounts, purchasing, warehouse and logistics teams for dispatch, invoicing and delivery.

Follow up after order confirmation on delivery, payment and customer satisfaction; build relationships that support repeat business and upselling.

Share customer feedback and market insights, support field sales colleagues, and submit daily and weekly lead, follow-up, quotation and closure reports.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Any degree or diploma; B.Com, BBA or an equivalent qualification is preferred.

1–3 years of experience in presales, inside sales or sales coordination; trading, FMCG or distribution experience is preferred.

Hands-on experience with a CRM such as Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, LeadSquared or a similar platform.

Strong spoken and written English and Tamil; Hindi is an advantage.

Working knowledge of Excel, Word, email, WhatsApp Business and quotation preparation.

Understanding of wholesale and retail pricing, margins, GST and basic trade terms.

Clear communication, persistence, organization, customer focus and the ability to work collaboratively.

Performance Measures

Leads handled and qualified, and lead-to-quotation and quotation-to-order conversion rates.

Timeliness and completion of follow-ups, customer response time and customer satisfaction.

CRM accuracy and timely updates, plus monthly sales value supported or closed.
