Database Administrator

Requirements

We are looking for a Mid to Senior Level Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on experience managing Oracle and PostgreSQL databases across both cloud and on-premises environments.

The role requires someone who can independently manage database installations, sizing, replication, availability, performance, and day-to-day database operations for business-critical systems within FinTech and Telecom environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
  
• Manage databases across cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure.
  
• Perform database sizing, capacity planning, and storage management.
  
• Configure and maintain database replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  
• Monitor database health, availability, and performance.
  
• Troubleshoot database performance, connectivity, replication, and production issues.
  
• Manage database backups, restoration, upgrades, and migrations.
  
• Perform query and database performance optimization.
  
• Maintain database security, access controls, and user privileges.
  
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams to ensure reliable database operations.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
  
• Solid expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  
• Experience with database installation, configuration, sizing, and capacity planning.
  
• Hands-on experience with replication, backup/recovery, and high availability.
  
• Experience managing databases in both cloud and on-premises environments.
  
• Strong database troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
  
• Understanding of database security and disaster recovery concepts.
  
• Experience supporting high-volume or business-critical production environments.
  

Preferred

Experience working within FinTech, Banking, Payments, or Telecom environments will be highly preferred.
