Instead, we take a client three year plan, a pricing grid, or a diligence file apart on the bench and put it back together against the evidence of the invoice ledger. Our work is handled on paper and backed by a telephone number that stays active for ninety days. We are currently working closely with a leading Spanish financial partner to audit and reconstruct their internal financial models, ensuring every assumption is tested against reality.

What you would do
As a Junior Research Analyst, your primary responsibility is to find the facts that support or refute a business argument. You will spend your time gathering data, reviewing financial reports, and looking through internal ledgers to verify the numbers behind a project. You will assist in the teardown of business models, identifying where assumptions have replaced evidence. Your daily tasks include:

• Gathering specific data points from financial databases and client records.
• Verifying the accuracy of entries in invoice ledgers and pricing grids.
• Drafting written arguments that explain the findings of your research.
• Assisting the lead builder in reconstructing financial models based on verified data.
• Finding market benchmarks to compare against our partner's internal performance.
• Ensuring all research is documented clearly for the challenger to review.
• Participating in the peer review process by checking the logic of your colleagues.

Helpful background
We are looking for individuals who find satisfaction in getting the details right. This is an entry level role, so we do not require a long history of professional consulting, but we do look for specific traits and basic technical comfort. The following qualities are helpful:

• A degree or recent study in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in using spreadsheets to organize and analyze data.

How we work
Our workshop follows a builder and challenger model. Every file carries two names on the cover: one person who builds the artifact and one person who argues against what was built. This means we do not have meetings that were not scheduled in advance, and we do not use internal messaging for things that should be handled in a written memo. We work entirely remotely, allowing each team member to create an environment that suits their own concentration.
