Location: Penamuluru, Vijayawada

Job Summary:

The School Nurse will be responsible for providing health services to students and staff during school hours. This includes delivering first aid and emergency care, maintaining medical supplies, coordinating with hospitals and leadership during emergencies, and supporting overall student well-being. The ideal candidate should be compassionate, child-friendly, and skilled in pediatric care and infection control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and emergency medical care to students and staff during school hours.
  
• Assess and manage illnesses or injuries that occur on campus.
  
• Maintain medical records and ensure confidentiality of student health information.
  
• Manage and monitor the inventory of medicines and medical supplies, ensuring timely replenishment.
  
• Coordinate with hospitals, parents, and the school leadership team during medical emergencies.
  
• Support administrative and medical needs during school events and activities.
  
• Promote health education and awareness among students and staff.
  
• Ensure adherence to infection control and hygiene standards across the school.
  
• Handle cases with calmness, empathy, and professionalism, especially when dealing with children.
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
  
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatric or school settings.
  
• Strong knowledge of first aid, infection control, and child health care.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations effectively.
  
• Calm, compassionate, and child-friendly demeanor.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in school health programs or community health nursing.
  
• Basic knowledge of health documentation and reporting.
  
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to educational institutions.
