PMLD Communication Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth

Help pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities communicate preferences, engage with sensory learning and take an active part in school life.

What you will do

  • Use objects of reference, intensive interaction and agreed communication systems.
  • Support sensory learning, positioning and individual programmes.
  • Recognise and record small but meaningful responses.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and care colleagues.

What you will bring

  • Relevant PMLD, complex-needs or care experience.
  • A patient, attentive and respectful approach.
  • Reliable teamwork and safeguarding practice.
  • QTS is not required for this teaching-assistant role.

Contract: Full-time temporary
Pay: £110–£150 per day PAYE

Right-to-work, references and enhanced child-workforce DBS checks apply.
