Job Description – Process Draughtsman

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Salary: Up to ₹7–8 LPA

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Process Draughtsman with a Mechanical Engineering background and experience in preparing and modifying engineering drawings for industrial gas plants, oil & gas, petrochemical and process plant projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop and modify Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
  

• Create and update engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
  

• Incorporate engineering changes and maintain drawing revisions.
  

• Work on engineering design software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, COMOS or SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID).
  

• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical and Instrumentation teams.
  

• Ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
  

• Prepare as-built drawings and maintain proper document control.
  

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
  

• Experience in process drafting / engineering design preferred.
  

• Hands-on knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs and engineering drawings.
  

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, COMOS or SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID) preferred.
  

• Experience in Industrial Gases, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or EPC projects preferred.
