Operate pedestal cranes to load/unload materials, equipment, and supplies on offshore platforms and vessels.
Follow offshore lifting procedures, conduct pre‑operation checks, and ensure adherence to HSE standards.
Perform routine inspections, report defects, and assist in preventive maintenance of crane systems.
Secure loads properly, calculate weight limits, and ensure balanced lifting operations.
Work closely with riggers, signalers, and deck supervisors to execute lifting operations safely.
Act promptly in case of mechanical issues or unsafe conditions.
Maintain crane operation logs, inspection records, and lifting permits.

Requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
Technical training in crane operation or mechanical systems (preferred).
Valid offshore crane operator license/certification (as per OPITO/IMCA or local authority).
Minimum 5–7 years’ offshore crane operation experience.

Certifications (Preferred)

OPITO Offshore Crane Operator certification.
HSE training (Work at Height, Rigging & Slinging, Fire Safety).
Offshore survival training (BOSIET / HUET).
